The first of the two courses held at The Archaeology Centre on Sunday 6th November was a great success. Expert flint knapper Karl Lee’s tuition enabled the ‘knappees’ to make a scraper and a variety of blades from Suffolk/Norfolk flint. He then gave an exhibition of his knapping skills by creating an arrow and a spear head. The day, organised by SHAHT member Paula, was an enjoyable experience and included her delicious pasta bake and a bean salad at lunchtime.
Don’t miss the opportunity to take part in the course (and to sample that pasta bake!) on Sunday 20th November . Contact us for more details.
